Advocates legion

Advocates’ Legion is the moot court community of Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies which has been providing a platform for aspiring young lawyers to experience real life court situations in legal arena. The community has been organizing different types of moot court competitions thereby enabling the students of Vivekananda Law School to experience the practical side of law by analyzing different legal issues and giving the opportunities to practice their oral advocacy and writing skills. These skills are invaluable to anyone contemplating a career in litigation. Throughout the school year, the members participate in a variety of intramural and intercollegiate competitions to sharpen critical skills essentially required in the legal profession. These members also promote and encourage mooting in Vivekananda Law School.

Since its inception, Advocates Legion has been one of the most active communities of VSLLS. It organizes multiple training sessions for first year students of law each year. These training sessions aim to provide an excellent opportunity to new students of law to learn the oral and writing skills required for the purpose of mooting. The Intra-moot court competitions are held every year and are open to all the students of Vivekananda Law School from first year to fifth year with renowned advocates as the judges of the competition. Mock trials and Intra-Bail Competitions are also organized. Each year, over 50 teams participate with full zeal to learn and experience the art of mooting. In the year 2015 three new activities were introduced, i.e. Power Point Presentation Competition, Memorial Writing Competition and Arguendo Moot Court Competition. In 2018 the Intra International Law was introduced for giving training to the students in diverse fields of international law.
