
Cheshta Dahiya
Ms. Cheshta Dahiya is an Assistant Professor of Law at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies. She is currently pursuing Doctorate Degree in Law from National Law University Delhi and her research topic is, “Vision of Police in Compliance with Criminal Law”. She holds teaching experience of five years at campus Law Center, Delhi University.
She is also a member of the Institute for Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, New Delhi. She holds experience of having assisted in organization of National and International Conferences, seminars Organized by Campus Law Center, Delhi University.
She was a recipient of the merit scholarship for her outstanding performance in academics by University Grant Commission. She has to her credit various publications of articles in journals of National and International repute. She has also been working in the past with NGOs, on projects dealing with various social issues. She has taught various subjects including Law of Evidence, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Law of Contract, Law of Torts. Her area of interests is Criminal Law and Constitutional Law.
An avid debater and sportsperson since her school days, she was the captain of the swimming team representing her state at national level. She won the best swimmer award in her state Haryana for the championships she had won. Actively working in cultural activities, she is presently working with Legal Aid Society of Vivekananda law school.
