
Dr. Garima Maheshwari
Dr. Garima Maheshwari is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies, VIPS. She has completed her Bachelor's in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and Master's in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her PhD, titled ‘Interrogating Governance of Global Commons: The Politics of Climate Justice in Bundelkhand’, is from the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her areas of interest include climate governance and politics.
Her awards include the National Eligibility Test and Junior Research Fellowship (NET-JRF), the ‘Jawaharlal Nehru Young Leaders Fellowship’ under the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund, and, appointment to the Expert Group on Climate Change convened by the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), New Delhi. Prior to joining VIPS, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, a Visiting Researcher at Kyoto University, Japan and has also worked at various other think-tanks of repute. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences and has also worked on projects on climate change. On the same theme, she has to her credit several publications in the form of journal articles, book chapters and newspaper articles.
