National Webinar on Litigation Techniques Post COVID -19
Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies in collaboration with PRIME JURIS, Law firm organized a webinar on 30th June on “ Litigation Techniques post-Covid 19” The guest speakers for the event were Ms. Geeta Luthra, Senior Advocate, Additional Advocate General Govt. of Haryana and Mr. R.S. Goswami, Member of the Bar Council of Delhi, Chairman Enrollment Committee.
The webinar was based on the topic of “LITIGATION TECHNIQUES POST COVID-19” which involved a discussion of how the courts are going to perform in the Post-COVID era, its impact and how can technology be employed in the field of litigation. The session was moderated by Mrs. Honey Bhatia (Assistant Professor, VSLLS, VIPS) and Mr. Prateek Goswami (Advocate, Partner, PRIME JURIS, VSLLS Alumni).
Mrs. Luthra shared her experiences and laid emphasis on the challenges faced by the litigators in respect to the virtual court hearings. She highlighted that online proceedings lack in the psychological and emotional connect. She concluded with a very true remark that “change is a part of life for which we all must adapt”.
Mr. Goswami pointed out how the virtual hearings suffer from the lacunae of internet connectivity which leads to disruption. He concluded with the view that though virtual hearings have their demerits but it can be highly beneficial for the present generation of lawyers.
